Bend Sinister are a progressive-indie band from Vancouver, British Columbia. The band took its name from a book by Vladimir Nobokov. In January of 2006, the band performed a set of six songs in session at CBC Television Studio 2. In March of 2006, CBC featured the band in a short film, "Meat the Band - Bend Sinister", on the television show ZeD. The band just released its third album, a self titled EP, on September 4, 2007 and is currently touring Canada supporting it under the sponsorship of CBC Radio 3, including a stop at Pop Montreal on October 7, 2007.Bend Sinister is documenting the tour to reveal the facts behind the popular perception that Canada offers a less satisfactory touring environment than the United States.
